Snow will continue today, tapering off toward evening across southern Minn.

WILLMAR – Snow is expected to linger across southern Minnesota today and taper off tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Minneapolis.

A winter storm advisory remains in place until 6 p.m. Friday.

Snow will continue to move north this morning across south central Minnesota and into west central Wisconsin. Snowfalls totals of 3 to 6 inches are expected from east central and south central Minnesota and west central Wisconsin.

The higher snow totals will be found along Interstate 90.

The area affected is located mainly east of a line from Montevideo to St. Cloud to Rush City.

The accumulating snow is expected to slowly taper off across the area this afternoon.
