Soup and Substance to focus on pets and rental properties
MORRIS -- The University of Minnesota, Morris will host its monthly Soup and Substance discussion on Thursday, March, 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the basement room of the Old No. 1 Bar & Grill. Sponsored this month by Stevens Community Humane Society and the Office of Community Engagement, Soup and Substance is open to all who wish to share their opinions and experiences. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion and enjoy a free meal.
This month the discussion will explore responsible pet ownership as well as the benefits of owning pets, the advantages and disadvantages of allowing pets in rental properties, and the steps landlords may take to protect their properties should they allow pets. Both rental property owners and renters are especially encouraged to attend.
Soup and Substance provides an open forum for members of the campus and community to discuss issues of local, national, and international importance—particularly issues related to privilege and oppression. The event pairs a delicious free meal with meaningful discussion.
