St Marys Samplings
Kindergarten: We made our first visit to Legacy Living to meet our "grand friends" and really enjoyed that! We also started our library visits! We would like to invite everyone to the fall festival at Assumption Parish on Sunday!
Grade 1: We finished our bus safety unit and practiced safe emergency entry and exit from a bus on Friday. We went to SWELL on Friday and looked for signs of fall with the help Ranger Randee.
Grade 2: The second graders were happy to welcome a new classmate this year, Olga Anderson. We have been working with our addition facts and are trying to get faster at recognizing them. We thank Colton Wohlers for bring some Monarch caterpillars so we could watch them form a chrysalis and then see the butterflies emerge.
Grade 3: We have been reviewing place value and rounding in Math and we are discussing plants in Science. We will be taking our Iowa Test of Basic skills for the very first time next week.
Grade 4: We are also excited to welcome a new student to our class, Richard Anderson. On Tuesday, we went to the Horticulture Field Day for 4th graders at the UMM Gardens.
Grade 5: We did some tough math problems and are learning all about place value with both whole numbers and decimals. We also created an art project that showed what are personalities are all about.
Grade 6: On Tuesday we visited the Morris Public Library to learn about the different resources available there. We have been busy preparing for our 6th grade carnival during Assumption SeptemberFest on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
