St. Mary's Samplings
Kindergarten: Another short week due to weather! However we had a great celebration of Catholic Schools Week! We had color team wars, a medallion hunt, fun activities, skiing at Andes and of course great food as always! Thanks to all of you that made our week extra special!
Grade 1: What a short but great week! We really enjoyed celebrating Catholic Schools Week. We had fun doing color war activities and "Minute to Win It" activities. We had fun playing different board games as our class activity. Skiing at Andes was a lot of fun and we were very happy that the weather cooperated for us to go!
Grade 2: Catholic Schools Week has been eventful despite the closing of school and all the late starts due to the weather. We enjoyed a classroom medallion hunt, dress up days, a Scrabble Flash tournament, and group color competitions. The cooks made us our favorite lunches each day and we get to enjoy more of them next week! We even managed to squeeze in some learning with all the schedule changes.
Grade 3: We all enjoyed our Catholic Schools Week activities despite all the changes that occurred due to the weather conditions. We celebrated a school Mass on Wednesday followed by a special lunch with table cloths and decorations. It made us all feel very special. We participated in various school activities and of course really enjoyed our day at Andes Tower Hills on Friday. We are lucky that so many of our school families were able to join us. We thank Ms. Grammond, the teachers, and our parents for organizing and making this week so special for us all!
Grade 4: This week the fourth graders have all become authors. We are writing our own version of the story Flat Stanley. We are writing about our adventures being flat as we travel from state to state. Catholic Schools Week activities have been a highlight of this week. We especially enjoyed the movie at the Old #1, our color activities and getting to ski at Andes.
Grade 5: We have had a busy and exciting week celebrating Catholic Schools Week. We have had color wars, watched a movie, skied at Andes, and had many other fun activities. We also continued our work on fractions in math class.
Grade 6: Wow, what a week! We celebrated Catholic Schools Week with many fun activities. We had a cribbage tournament in our classroom, participated in color activities, enjoyed our favorite lunches, and went skiing on Friday.
