MORRIS, Minn. - The Stevens County Auditor's Office is encouraging residents that will be gone on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, to vote early using an absentee ballot.
As of Tuesday, Oct. 23, 220 Stevens County residents had requested absentee ballots and 133 had been returned, said Stevens County Deputy Auditor/Elections Debbie Brunko.
Voters who would like to vote by mail need to allow time for mailing. Absentee ballots must be received in the Auditor's office by 5:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5.
The Auditor's office will be open for absentee voting on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 5 until 5:00 p.m.
