Stevens County Board of Commissioners preview: Proposal to increase solid waste service fees

Morris - The Stevens County Board of Commissioners will consider a proposal to increase the annual solid waste service fee from $20 to $45 per occupied parcel at their meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Stevens County Courthouse.

In the proposal, Environmental Services/Planning & Zoning Director Bill Kleindl said the fee increases is needed to keep the fund in the black. The proposed fee schedule suggests different values for different properties.

Other items on the agenda include revisions to the West Central S.W.A.T joint powers agreement and a revision to the Rainbow Rider joint powers agreement.
