Willmar got on the board first, with Grant Show scoring two first-period goals, at the 2:31 mark, and again at 11:03.

The Storm scored their only game of the night when Andreas Siggelin scored off of a Peter Lindblad assist at the 3:24 mark. The goal came on the Storm's only shot of the period.

Willmar closed out the scoring at the 6:14 mark when Matt Odom scored making the final score 7-1.
