Storm girls threaten, fall to Marshall 3-2
The Morris Benson Area girls' hockey team fell to Marshall 3-2 Tuesday at Lockwood Motors Ice Arena.
Marshall scored three goals within the first 10 minutes of the game.
The Storm got on the board when Emily Walz scored a power-play goal with two minutes left in the period to cut the lead to 3-1 going into the first intermission.
The Storm held Marshall scoreless in the second period, fending off two power plays.
The Storm's Tabitha Marrs scored a goal at the 12:42 mark of the third period, cutting the Tiger lead to one goal.
The Storm threatened with just over 20 seconds left in the game as Morgan DeHann broke free down the left side of the ice, but her shot was saved by Marshall's goalie.
