Morris Benson Area's third period rally fell short as the Storm lost to conference rival Marshall 3-2 Thursday at the Lee Community Center.

Down 3-0, Tanner Picht got the Storm on the board early in the period off an assist from Kelly Engquist.

Mac Beyer added to the score and the excitement with his goal on assists from Picht and Engquist less than three minutes later.

The momentum had shifted to the Storm's favor in the final period. The Storm defense shut out Marshall, while the offense had a 14-9 shot advantage. However, the Storm was unable to capitalize on two power plays, the Tigers' only two penalties of the game.

Matt Huot had 30 saves in the Storm's net
