Sun Tribune wins two awards in contest
The Morris Sun Tribune won two awards in the Minnesota Newspaper Association's Better Newspaper Contest.

The Sun Tribune won first place in the Advertising Campaign category for all newspapers with its "National Guard Soldier of the Week" series, published weekly since May 2009. The judge wrote "Patriotism, community connection, advertiser involvement. Surely the readers went straight to A3 each Saturday to pay tribute to the soldier of the week. Beautifully executed - Hats off to all!!"
The Sun Tribune also won second place in the Community Leadership category. This award recognizes a newspaper taking a leadership role and influencing its community to effect change and rally support. The Sun Tribune was recognized for its series on Stevens FORWARD! The judge wrote, "A newspaper's importance can often be measured by its service to its community and readers. The Sun Tribune's series on "Drivers" provided information that will impact virtually every corner of its community."
