Talkers Schultz, Hennen plan joint announcement
Fargo's best-known political pundits may reach across the ideological aisle to join forces.
Scott Hennen, a conservative talk show host and owner of the talk-radio station 1100 AM The Flag, has set a news conference for 9 a.m. Monday in which Ed Schultz is scheduled to appear, said RaeAnn McLean, a Hennen spokeswoman.
Schultz is the left-wing host of a three-hour nationally syndicated radio show and a one-hour television show on MSNBC.
A news release about the Monday event at the Fargo Theatre heavily hints that a collaboration of sorts is in the works, stating three potential announcements: pigs flying, hell freezing over or a team-up between Schultz and Hennen.
Schultz's show now airs as the sole talk program on 106.1 FM, a classic country station. Until shortly before he landed the MSNBC TV program in early April, Schultz also hosted a local-issues show on 790 AM.
McLean said she couldn't give additional details, and Hennen didn't return a phone call Thursday
