Talking it over -- 5-27-10
I will never be able to look at a Twins shirt in the same way. Not because of anything that the Minnesota baseball team has done but because the shirts were a way of passing on a very special message for my husband, myself and our family.
A few weeks ago our son and his wife along with our grandson Tristyn arrived in Hancock each wearing a Twins shirt. We didn't think anything of it however when I spotted a carefully placed arrow on Korrin's shirt pointing down, the message started to sink in. It was their way of sharing the news that they were expecting twins.
To be honest my husband and I had known about the pregnancy but we were so excited to share the news with our family and friends. The babies are due in early December and they will become our fourth and fifth grandchildren. With the arrival of number three, Josie, in March it seems that our family will grow considerably just within a ten month period. Christmas will be much larger this year.
About a month ago one of my best friends learned that she was going to be a grandmother for the first time and her daughter was also expecting twins. I was so thrilled for her and now with ours due nearly at the same time we are almost overwhelmed with the thought of four new babies in our lives.
As we prepare for the arrival of our grandchildren we will continue to pray for all to go well, not only with them, but with each of the pregnancies among family and friends. We know how precious these tiny babies are and what cherished gifts they continue to be.
With each new pregnancy, the love in our hearts grows and strengthens. We can't wait to meet our new grandchildren and will be sure to keep you up-to-date on their progress. It will be fun and exciting but also promises to keep Grandpa and Grandma very busy.
