Three-hour sales pitch leads to public warning
A three-hour-long sales pitch by door-to-door salesmen led the Todd County Sheriff's Office to warn residents about over-aggressive salespeople.
The TCSO said there was a recent incident in rural Long Prairie where two salespeople attempted to sell a product to an elderly couple and they wouldn't take no for an answer. The salespeople stayed at the residence for more than three hours, and became impolite, intimidating and rude when nothing was bought, the TCSO said.
The sheriff's office advised citizens to call 911 if they feel uncomfortable with salespeople who have become too pushy or won't leave. The TCSO also said people shouldn't give salespeople any money without first confirming their credentials and the product they are selling.
