The No. 6 seed Morris Area was eliminated by No. 3 Redwood Valley 3-2. The Cardinals advanced to play No. 2 BOLD and were defeated in another 3-2 outcome.

BOLD will play New Ulm from the South bracket Wednesday. No. 1 Marshall faces Fairmont in the other third-round game.

The TIgers scored one run in the first after Tyler Hansen's triple and Beyer's sacrifice fly.

Redwood Valley quickly answered in the bottom of the inning to tie it 1-1 and took the lead in the second with another run. The Cardinals added to their lead in the fifth inning.

The Tigers had only the two hits and committed five errors.

Eric Riley pitched the complete game, allowing six hits and walking two, but striking out six, as well.
