Morris Students Distinguish Themselves at Recent Visual Arts Festival

Morris students did awesome this year at the Minnesota State High School League Visual Arts Festival. The students were judged on a point system. Students earned points based on composition, craftsmanship, process and problem solving, and expressive qualities. The highest point totals were given superior and lesser point totals were given excellent ratings.

The following students received Superiors: Braden Luthi, Dylan Recker, Megan Gillespie, Tahni Jungst, Aryn Parker, and Courtney Gades.

The following students received Excellent: Carrie Roske, Cassidy Hennen, Tony Pelowski, Brittany Harrison, Amy Goette, Neala Salvela, Jaimie Bergerson, Kjersa Anderson, Maddie Gravning, and Katie Holzheimer.

Amber Recker received a Merit award. Braden Luthi received two Superiors along with the Best in Category Awards which qualified him to enter his piece, Dragon Pot, in the Minnesota State Visual Arts Exhibition at the College of Visual Arts, St Paul from May 12 through 21. Congratulations to our students and Ms. Swezey for a job well done!
