Tiger boys also fall to Falcons

The Morris Area boys' basketball team fell to the Falcons 63-55 Tuesday at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. The loss bumped the Tigers into a second-place tie with the Falcons, while Montevideo holds sole possession of first place in the West Central Conference South.

The Tigers jumped to an early 10-point lead, before the Falcons went on a 21-6 run taking a 37-31 lead at halftime.

The Falcons shot 45.5 percent (20-44) from the field, while the Tigers were 24-of-69 (34.8 percent).

At the free-throw line the Falcons were 20-of-26, with the Tigers hitting six of 10.

Chris Scott led the Tigers with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Jackson Henrich added 10 points and seven rebounds.

Also scoring were Taylor Nohl with nine, Lincoln Arnold with eight, Tyler Meichsner and Eric Riley with three apiece, and Corey Nohl with two.
