Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta suffered its second conference loss to an undefeated Montevideo boys' basketball team 59-51 on Friday.

The Thunder Hawks improved to 7-0 in the West Central Conference South, while the Tigers fell to 5-2.

After a slow first half, the Tigers blitzed Montevideo with three-pointers in the second half, but the Thunder Hawks withstood the charge.

Montevideo held a 22-point lead with 12 minutes left in the game, but the Tigers went 5-of-8 from three-point range to get within two.

Brody Bahr hit two treys. Alex Erickson, Tyler Roske, Dan Tiernan, and Cole Riley had one apiece.

The Thunder Hawks made 12 of 15 shots from the free-throw line, including their last four, to seal the win.

Cole Riley's 15 points led the Tigers.

Mac Kampmeier pulled down six rebounds.

Jacobey Johnson scored 13 points, Jake Douglas and Ryan Boike 12 apiece and Colton Vien 11 for Montevideo. Douglas grabbed nine rebounds
