The two teams could meet again this Thursday in New London in the inter-conference championship game if the Wildcats defeat Melrose Tuesday to claim the North title. Morris Area has already clinched the South title.

The Wildcats just missed forcing overtime after Jay Moten's half-court three-point attempt banked off the glass and rimmed out of the basket.

The Tigers had rallied from a 30-25 halftime deficit to outscore the Wildcats 31-23 in the second half.

The Tigers were shooting at 44 percent (22-50) from the field, while the Wildcats hit 31 percent (18-58).

At the free-throw line the Tigers were 11-of-20, while the Wildcats were 14-of-23.

Cory Hennen paced the Tigers with 13 points, while Chris Scott followed with 12, Jackson Henrich added 11, and Eric Riley had 10.

Also scoring for the Tigers were Lincoln Arnold with six and Tyler Meichsner and Corey Nohl with two apiece.

Scott grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Tigers. Taylor Nohl had five.

Meichsner dished out a team-high four assists, while Hennen and Arnold each recorded three.
