Even scoring helped the Tigers avenge last season's loss to the Silverstreaks in the Section 6AA play offs.

"That was a good sign for our first game," said coach Mark Torgerson. "We played so well as a team."

Lincoln Arnold had 16 points, while Cory Hennen and Jackson Henrich added 15 apiece.

Also scoring were Taylor Nohl and Eric Riley with eight points apiece. Chris Scott and Josh Love added six points each. Grant Gagner had five, Daniel Tiernan scored four, and Tyler Meichsner and Corey Nohl each had two points.

Henrich led the team with seven rebounds. Arnold and Hennen each grabbed four boards.

Taylor Nohl was the assist leader with six. Arnold and Scott recorded four assists each.

The Tigers had 16 steals off of 22 Osakis turnovers, led by Taylor Nohl with four.

Henrich blocked five Osakis shots.

The Tigers hit nine of 17 free throws and were 37-of-67 from the field.

The Silverstreaks were 16-of-50 from the field.

The Tigers travel to Wahpeton for a tournament this weekend and play the host team Friday at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Morris Area will play either Breckenridge or East Grand Forks. East Grand Forks is ranked 12th in the state.

"These are four high quality teams," said Torgerson. "It will be a true test to see where we're at early in the season."
