Tiger boys see streak end at NLS
NEW LONDON -- New London-Spicer made 75 percent of its free throws to beat Morris 76-64 for the West Central inter-conference boys basketball championship Friday.
The Wildcats (19-8), champions of the West Central North, sank 21 of 28 shots from the charity stripe, including 17 of 20 in the second half.
The hot foul shooting helped the Wildcats avenge a 56-53 regular-season loss to the Tigers (20-4) last Friday at Morris. The Tigers also saw their 12-game winning streak end.
