Tiger boys split WCCS games
The Morris Area boys' basketball team split last week's conference games against Minnewaska Area and Benson.

Tuesday night at Minnewaska, the Tigers let a 32-32 halftime score slip away in the second half to give the Lakers a 58-52 West Central Conference South victory.
Although the Tigers had more looks at the basket, the Lakers were shooting at 58.5 percent from the field compared to the Tigers' 35 percent.
At the line, the percentage was closer with the Tigers hitting eight of 13 and the Lakers making seven of 12.
Lincoln Arnold led the Tigers with 15 points. Chris Scott added 10.
Also scoring were Jackson Henrich with nine, Eric Riley with seven, Daniel Tiernan with six, and Taylor Nohl with five.
Tyler Meichsner dished out six assists.
At the boards, Henrich and Scott grabbed eight apiece.
Morris Area 65
The Tigers took a 31-20 lead into halftime, and increased their lead to 20 (65-45) by the final buzzer.
Morris Area was hitting a higher percentage of field goals making 25 of 55 (45.5 percent). Benson was 17-of-45 (37.8 percent).
At the free-throw, line the Tigers were hitting 73.3 percent (11-15), while the Braves were 9-of-13 (69.2 percent).
Three Tigers scored in double figures to help earn the win. Scott led with 16, Arnold added 15, and Riley chipped in 13.
Also scoring were Henrich and Meichsner with eight apiece, Nohl with four, and Josh Love with a free throw.
Meichsner also dished out six assists.
Henrich led the Tigers with 17 rebounds and six blocked shots.
