Tiger boys stay on top with 73-39 win at home

Four players scored in double figures to help Morris Area win its sixth straight game Friday at home, defeating Lac qui Parle Valley 73-39. The win maintains the Tigers' lead in the West Central Conference South boys' basketball standings at 10-2.

Three conference teams trail by two wins. Montevideo is 8-3, Paynesville Area stands at 8-4, and Benson is 8-5 in the conference.

The Tigers shot 54 percent (31-57) from the field and outrebounded the Eagles 45-19. At the free-throw line the Tigers were 8-of-13.

The Eagles hit 17 of 52 field goals and were 4-of-10 at the line.

Lincoln Arnold paced the Tigers with 20 points and four assists.

Jackson Henrich had 15 points, and led the Tigers with five assists and 12 rebounds.

Chris Scott had 12 points and seven rebounds.

Cory Hennen had 10 points, including two three-point baskets.

Also scoring for the Tigers were Taylor Nohl with six, Eric Riley with four, Tyler Meichsner with one three-pointer, Corey Nohl with two, and Josh Love with one.

Corey Nohl grabbed eight rebounds.
