Tiger boys stay on top of WCC South race

The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta boys stayed on top of the West Central Conference South basketball standings Tuesday by defeating BOLD 78-50.

The Tigers are now 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference, one game ahead of Montevideo and Lac qui Parle Valley. BOLD dropped to 0-4.

The Tigers host Yellow Medicine East Friday.

Eleven players scored for the Tigers. Cory Hennen led the balanced attack with 15 points, followed by Eric Riley with 12, Corey Nohl with 11, and Lincoln Arnold with 10.

Jackson Henrich was the Tigers' rebound leader, grabbing nine boards. Nohl led the team in both assists and steals with four of each.

Kyle Athmann drained three 3-pointers and netted 15 points for BOLD. Tyler Hebrink added 11 points.
