Tiger girls down Minnewaska in home opener
Strong defense helped Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta down Minnewaska 44-25 on Thursday in the Tigers' home opener.
The Tigers took an 11-point lead into halftime, scoring 22 points in each half.
"We need to make the easy shots," said coach Dale Henrich. "We shot 47 percent from the field, but went 8-for-9 (89 percent) from the line.
"We hit the boards well and kept our turnovers down," added Henrich. "This was a nice team win."
