Emma Peterson's shot with one second left lifted Benson to a 61-59 West Central South girls' basketball victory over Morris/Chokio-Alberta Tuesday.

Benson got the ball back with the game tied at 59 and 12 seconds left. The Braves moved the ball up the court and Peterson sank a jumper from the left elbow for the victory.

The game was tight throughout, with the Tigers holding a one-point lead at halftime. In the second half, the Tigers led by as many as seven points.

Peterson led all scorers with 31 points. She made three 3-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds. Emily Auch contributed 12 points an 10 rebounds.

Erica Domnick's 25 points paced the Tigers. Hannah Sayles added eight points, nine re-bounds and six assists.
