Tiger girls fall to unbeaten Sting
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta was defeated 60-41 by unbeaten Yellow Medicine East in West Central Conference South girls' basketball action Thursday.
The Sting improved to 8-0 in the conference, while the Tigers fell to 2-4.
The Sting outrebounded the Tigers 48-25.
Angie Scheffler, who scored a game-high 21 points, pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds. Emily Baker had 11 points and 11 boards, and Courtney Hinz contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds. Hinz also had five assists, Baker added five steals and Steph Larson collected six steals.
Erica Domnick recorded nine points and nine boards to lead the Tigers.
