The Wildcats built a 19-point halftime lead, more than enough to hold off the Tigers despite their 30-point second half.

"NL-S jumped out to a quick start hitting some early threes and full-court lay ups," explained coach Dale Henrich.

MaKenzie Smith led the Tigers in the first half scoring 11 points on her way to a double double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

"In the second half the Tigers took a good run at the Wildcats," added Henrich. "For about five or six minutes we played the way I know we can."

Katie Holzheimer hit four of her five threes in the second half and finished with 15 points.

"We rebounded well, pulling down 39 boards."
