The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls' golf team finished the West Central Conference South circuit in third place out of seven teams in 2012.
With exactly four golfers, the Tigers had to use every score at each meet. Teams can keep their best four scores, but with only four golfers, the Tigers weren't able to throw out any scores.
Despite that, the Tigers consistently placed around third at each stop in the conference.
The Tigers were led by senior Cassidy Hennen, who earned all-conference honors with her fifth-place standing at the end of the season. Her average score was 46.3.
Cassidy Hennen also qualified for sections by taking medalist honors with a 91 at sub-section competition in Ortonville.
Maddie Hennen and Lily Erdal also qualified for the section meet. The Tigers had three of four golfers from the sub-section advancing to the Section 3AA meet in Willmar.
Shiori Legate, new to the team this season, was the Tigers' fourth golfer.
"We had a great season and I am so proud of all they have accomplished," said coach Austen Miller. "We are sad to have Cassidy leaving us. She was a great captain and a very dependable scorer.
"We have some young talent on the way up," added Miller. "The future is bright for the Morris girls' golf program. I can't wait for the years to come."
