The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls’ basketball team dropped its final regular-season game 61-29 to West Central North leaders Sauk Centre on Saturday.

“This was a tough game for the Tigers, against a physical and talented Sauk Centre team,” said coach Dale Henrich. “This is a game you want to play to get ready for the playoffs.”

Katie Holzheimer led the Tigers with 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Beth Holland scored nine points.

The Tigers wrap up the regular season 12-4 in the conference and 16-9 overall.

The Tigers open the Section 6AA-South tournament against Paynesville on Thursday in Morris.
