Tiger girls golf BOLD, YME
The Morris Area / Chokio-Alberta Tiger girls started Thursday, April 24 off at Granite Run Golf Club for a Yellow Medicine East meet and ended the day in Olivia for a BOLD meet to debut their West Central Conference schedule opposite the boys.
At Granite Run, Minnewaska's Jenny Janu was the medalist in the meet as Minnewaska finished first with a 181, 16 strokes ahead of second place finisher BOLD.
Maddie Hennen led MA/C-A with a 51. A two-way tie for fifth with Sauk Centre's Morgan Kranz. As a team, the Tigers took seventh with a 242.
In Olivia, the Tigers placed third as a team with senior Lily Erdahl leading the way with a 52. Hennen, Shiori Legate, and Megan Kirkeide followed closely behind with 53s.
Janu and the rest of the Minnewaska team was again the hailing victor in the Olivia meet, outstroking host team BOLD by just five strokes.
The next conference meet for the Tigers is Tuesday, April 29 in Minnewaska at 11 a.m. and Morris at 4 p.m. The girls will also travel to Benson on Wednesday, April 30.
