The girls' golf season got underway for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta on Tuesday, April 12 at Paynesville. The Tigers finished seventh in the pack of nine teams with a score of 247.

Five-time defending state champion Minnewaska won the West Central Conference South meet with the top four individuals for a team score of 166. The co-medalists were Lakers Samantha Falk and Brianna Janu with nine-hole scores of 41.

Cassidy Hennen led the Tigers with a 48. Maddie Hennen carded a 65, Gabriel Sparby shot a 66, and Sydney Engebretson had a 68.

The Lakers totaled 171 to win the second match of the conference on Thursday at the Olivia Golf Club.

Falk led the field by shooting a 39 for the Lakers.

BOLD was second on its home course with a 193.

The Tigers finished fourth, improving to 218. Cassidy Hennen carded a 49, Maddie Hennen shot a 52, Engebretson had a 56, and Sparby had a 61.
