Tiger girls open season with home win

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta opened the girls' basketball season Tuesday with a 51-38 win over BOLD on the home court.

Junior Sarah Kuhn, making her first varsity start, scored 12 of her game-high 14 points in the first half to help the Tigers stay in front for the entire game.

Mary Rentz and Kelsey Greenwaldt added eight points apiece.

Jenna Nelson grabbed eight rebounds, while Nicole Gillespie, Greenwaldt, and Erica Domnick pulled down five apiece.

Gillespie also recorded six steals to lead the Tigers. Nelson and Rentz each recorded three.

Brittany Nissen scored 14 points for BOLD.
