The Morris Area/ Chokio-Alberta girls' basketball team opened the season with a heartbreaking three-point loss Thursday, Nov. 29 in Osakis.

The Tigers started out down 12-0, before going on a 30-10 run to take an eight-point lead into halftime.

The Tigers increased their lead to 13 before fouling Osakis back into the game. The Silverstreaks made 12 freethrows in the second half.

Katie Holzheimer led the Tigers with 19 points, while Beth Holland added 10.
