Tiger girls start 2009 track & field season
The Morris Area girls' track and field season got underway Thursday at the Paynesville Bulldog Invitational.
The Tigers finished in sixth place out of eight teams participating. The host team, Paynesville Area, took first place.
Rachel Moser had a first-place finish for the Tigers, running the 100-meter dash in 13.47 seconds.
Bekah Larsen placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 29 feet, two inches.
The 4X400 relay team of Katie Huot, Jenna Nelson, Kelsey Loew, and Tina Larson took third place with a time of 4:46.
The 4X100 team of Huuot, Moser, Nelson, and Erin Schieler took fourth with a time of 56.12 seconds.
The 4X200 team of Loew, Nelson, Larsen, and Tabby Sanderson took fourth with a 2:06.06 time.
Erica Domnick placed fourth in the high jump with a 4-6.
Tara Fehr placed fourth in the pole vault with a 7-0.
Sarah Kuhn ran the 800-meter in 2:46.76 for fifth place.
Larson took sixth in the 800-meter with a time of 2:48.68.
Kayla Feuchtenberger placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 27-7.
Paige Schieler took seventh place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:16.57.
Esther Koehl ran the 3200-meter in 16:51 for seventh place.
Kuhn took seventh in the long jump with a distance of 12-10.
Moser and Huot tied for eighth place in the pole vault with a height of 6-6.
