The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls' golf team was in Fergus Falls Thursday for an 18-hole invitational meet.
"We don't normally play against these teams, but I thought it would be fun for the girls to get some different competition," said coach Austen Miller.
Morris took fourth out of nine teams with a team score of 395.
"This is the first time since I have been the coach that the team has broken 400 at an 18-hole event," explained Miller. "I am very proud of the girls and hope that this success will carry us through the rest of the season."
Maddie Hennen led the Tigers with a 95.
"This is Maddie's lowest 18-hole score ever," said Miller. "Lily Erdal also managed to pull together a very nice round shooting a 97. Cassidy Hennen and Shiori Legate shot 99 and 104, respectively."
The top team was Pequot Lakes with a team total of 339. Fergus Falls took second with a 362, follow by Crookston with a 382.
The medalist was Monica Wold from Crookston with a 76.
