
Tiger runners compete at Montevideo
Morris Area was missing a number of runners at the Montevideo Cross Country Invitational Tuesday, but many individuals met the challenge with competitive times.
The boys finished in fifth place, behind Marshall, Canby-Minneota, Montevideo, and Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd.
Dan Tiernan posted the Tigers' fastest time of 17:49.
In the boys' 8th and 9th grade race, Aaron Goulet paced all runners with his first-place time of 13:18.
The girls' team placed sixth behind a field including Marshall, Montevideo, Canby-Minneota, Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd, and Benson/K-M-S.
MaKenzie Smith was the first Tiger to cross the line in 22nd place with a 17:37.
