At 215 pounds Zack Gibson won by forfeit for the Tigers' final six points.
At 103 pounds Herman Hill lost by fall in 5:40 to Gabe Foltz.
At 112 pounds Tony Domnick lost by fall in 0:34 to Mike Bellefeuille.
At 119 pounds Jordan Thooft lost by fall in 1:36 to Tony Sims.
At 152 Tanner Berning lost an 8-3 decision to Josh Tweeton.
At 171 Ryan Beyer lost a 12-0 major decision to Nate Duchene.
At 189 Jeff Knobloch lost a 13-2 major decision to Brandon Johnson.
In the heavyweight match, James Newhouse lost by fall in 1:39 to Justin Holm.
With five open weight classes against two well-stacked teams, Friday night was tough on the Tiger wrestling team. The Tigers hosted Yellow Medicine East and Paynesville Area in a triangular at the Morris Area gym.

Tanner Berning, wrestling at 152 pounds, picked up the Tigers' only points against the Sting. He won by fall over Mason Hegna at 5:14.
At 103 pounds Tony Domnick dropped a 14-1 decision to YME's Evan Knudson. The YME freshman was 6-2 on the season entering the night's matches.
At 112 pounds Jordan Thooft lost a 15-0 decision to Tyler Merritt.
At 119 pounds John Zierke lost by fall in :52 to Levi Specht.
Josh Nelson, wrestling at 130 pounds, lost a 4-1 decision to Dylan Hoffman. The Sting's junior entered the match undefeated (8-0) on the season.
Ryan Beyer, wrestling at 171 pounds, dropped a 16-10 decision to YME senior Blake Dandurand.
At 189 pounds Jeff Knobloch lost by fall at 3:20 to Cody Sander.
At 215 pounds Zach Gibson lost by fall at 3:20 to YME senior Evan Stock.
Wrestling at heavyweight, James Newhouse lost by fall at 3:46 to Tim Savig.

Nelson, at 130 pounds, pinned Brent Schlangen in 3:33.
Gibson won a hard-fought 10-9 decision over Trey Stanger.
At 103, Domnick lost by fall in 1:26 to Cole Woehler. Woehler, a freshman, came to Morris with a 14-4 season record.
At 112, Thooft lost by fall in 2:46 to Dylan Sheridan. The Bulldog sophomore was 10-1 on the season coming into the triangular.
At 119, Zierke lost by fall in 3:37 to Trevor Spanier.
Berning lost the 152-pound match by a 9-4 decision to Tyler Hemmesch. Hemmesch was 14-4 coming into the triangular.
At 171, Beyer lost by fall in 2:42 to Michael Doom.
At 189, Knobloch lost by fall in 1:35 to Andrew Moser, who was 15-3 coming into the night's matches.
In the heavyweight match, Newhouse lost by fall in 0:23 to Dominick Platow.
