Tigers 2-0 after midweek

Coming off a win from Saturday night against Breckenridge, the Tiger boys kept it rolling with a win against Minnewaska in Glenwood on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Morris/C-A 68, Waska 57 The Tigers’ Staebler poured in 30 points and Grove added 20 from the perimeter as MACA tamed the Lakers in the second half after trailing by three at break, 36-33. The final score was 68-57.

Staebler made 15 of 21 from the floor for all his points. Anderson added 12 points on 6-7 shooting.

Austin Ostrander led the way for Minnewaska with 21 points. The Lakers were 8 of 17 on threes.

The Tigers are seventh seed in Section 6AA-South with a 4-6 section record ahead of St. John’s Prep (No. 8 at 2-5). The Tigers ended their regular season with a cancelled game on Friday, Feb. 21 against now seeded No. 2 Eden Valley-Watkins. Therefore, the Tigers took No. 7 seed and now play No. 2 seeded EV-Watkins in Eden Valley for the first round of Section 6AA playoffs action on Thursday, Feb. 27.
