Morris Area defeated Minnewaska 28-10 Tuesday night at Big Cat Stadium in the opening round of the Section 5AA playoffs.
The Tigers now face No. 1 Eden Valley-Watkins after the Eagles defeated Benson 42-15 to keep their undefeated season intact.
The Tigers got on the board midway through the first quarter when Ryan Beyer scored the touchdown on a quarterback keeper and Jordan Fletcher added the extra point.
The Tigers added two more touchdowns in the second quarter and took a 19-0 lead into halftime.
Just over four minutes into the second half, Tanner Berning scored for the Tigers.
Morris Area picked up a safety in the fourth quarter for a 28-0 lead.
The Lakers managed a safety of their own less than two minutes later and added a touchdown with just 26 seconds left on the clock.
In other Section 5AA action Tuesday, it was BOLD over Paynesville Area 39-8 and Yellow Medicine East over Lac qui Parle Valley 43-7. BOLD will take on the Sting at Olivia Saturday.
The Tigers take to the road Saturday for a 7 p.m. game in Eden Valley.
