Tigers bounce back on volleyball court
After taking two conference losses to BOLD and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City last week, the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta varsity volleyball team bounced back to sweep Lac qui Parle Valley Thursday at home.
The Tigers were shut down in three by visiting BOLD Tuesday, Sept. 14.
Erin Schieler had 10 kills and three ace blocks to lead the Tigers. Kelsey Loew had two ace blocks.
After four evenly played sets, the Tigers dropped the deciding set 15-7 at A-C-GC Thursday, Sept. 16.
Schieler had 24 kills to lead the Tigers.
Dani Schultz served three aces and Mackenzie Weatherly recorded two. Weatherly also put up 20 assists, while Haley Scheldorf recorded 16.
Roske and Schultz led the defense with 43 and 34 digs, respectively.
The Tigers won a decisive match in three sets Thursday over the visiting Eagles.
Schieler delivered 14 kills in 23 errorless attacks and also had 10 ace blocks to lead the Tigers.
Carrie Roske led the Tigers' defense with 25 digs.
