Tigers break open tied game to stay undefeated

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta broke open a tied game with a five-run fifth inning, then tacked on four more in the seventh to down Minnewaska in a league game on Monday.

Chandler Erickson was 4-for-4, drove in a run and scored twice and Mac Beyer doubled twice and drove in three runs. Jake Torgerson had two hits and drove in a pair of runs and also pitched 5-2/3 innings for the victory.

The Lakers’ Jake Amundson and Riley Thompson both had a two hits.
