The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls' basketball team closed out the regular season with a 42-25 win at Minnewaska Thursday.

The Tigers finish the regular season 8-16 with a 4-8 West Central Conference South record. The Tigers have been seeded No. 5 and will travel to Paynesville Thursday, March 1 to open the Section 6AA Sub-Section tournament against the No. 4 Bulldogs.

A balanced attack paced by McKenzie Smith's near triple double with game-high totals of 13 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals helped the Tigers win their second straight.

Paige Anderson scored eight points for Minnewaska, which enters the postseason next week on an 18-game losing streak.
