The Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta girls' basketball team improved to 4-2 with a 48-33 win over Lac qui Parle Valley Tuesday at home.

"The Tigers led 19-16 at halftime and won the game by 15," said coach Dale Henrich. "Our defense played well inside and out, and we talked a lot on the defensive side.

"Our shot selection was good," added Henrich. "We just need to make the easy open shots."

The Tigers outrebounded the Eagles 25-11 and had nine turnovers compared to 12 for the visiting team.

Beth Holland led the Tigers with 14 points. Becca Holland had 12. Abbie Olson led on the boards with seven rebounds.
