Tigers down Montevideo for 15th straight win

Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, No. 2 in the latest Class AA boys' basketball poll, picked up its 15th win Tuesday night at home with a 68-40 win over Montevideo.

The unbeaten Tigers are one game ahead of Minnewaska in the West Central Conference South standings.

The Thunder Hawks fall to 7-3 in the conference, and 8-7 overall.

A run late in the first half gave the Tigers some breathing room going into the break up 36-23.

Lincoln Arnold netted 19 points and Cory Hennen chipped in 16 for the Tigers. Jackson Henrich sparked the defense with seven rebounds and five blocks. Eric Riley and Alex Erickson were credited with six assists each.

Eleven players scored for the Thunder Hawks with Ryan Boike's seven points leading the balanced attack.
