Tigers drop one to Montevideo

Morris Area's volleyball record slipped to 1-1 in the West Central South Tuesday with Montevideo prevailing 25-21, 23-25, 25-23, and 25-18.

Six Tigers all recorded two ace serves apiece. They are Brooke Anderson, Heather Gagner, Jenna Nelson, Shawna Itzen, Brianna Neuman, and Erin Schieler, who was a perfect 11-of-11 at the line.

Alissa Melberg and Schieler had seven kills apiece. Mary Rentz and Sara Beyer each had five kills. Dani Staples with four, and Nelson and Neuman with two each, recorded the other kills for Morris Area.

Neuman was credited with 27 assists on 74-for-75 setting, while Beyer also recorded three assists.

Beyer had one ace block.

Alisha Roske led the Tigers with 11 digs, while Gagner had 10 and Kelsey Amundson had seven.
