Tigers fall by half point in track & field
The Morris Area boys' track and field team placed second at the Minnewaska Invite Tuesday with 139.5 points, falling behind Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd by half a point.
The 4X200 relay team of Steve Sarlette, Taylor Nohl, Corey Nohl, and Lincoln Arnold took first place with a time of 1:36.93.
The 4X400 team of Lincoln Arnold, Cody Cannon, Corey Nohl, and Taylor Nohl placed first with a time of 3:35.25.
Arnold also took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.37.
Stefen Lemke was first to cross the finish line in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:46.
The 4X100 relay team of Sarlette, Ross Larson, Eric Goette, and Tristan Michealson placed second with a time of 49.36.
Cannon took second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.19.
Corey Nohl placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.22.
Josh Love took second place in the shot put with a throw of 44 feet, 7.75 inches.
Jackson Henrich placed second in the discus throw with a distance of 136 feet, 4 inches.
The 4X800 relay team of Matt Wulf, Roy Reese, Goette, and Austin Schieler placed third with a time of 9:26.60.
Lemke took third in the 800-meter with a time of 2:09.
Conor Arnold placed third in the shot put with a throw of 42-7.5.
Cannon tied for third place in the pole vault with a height of 11-6.
Reese placed fourth in the 3200-meter with a time of 11:38.
Henrich took fourth in the shot put with a 42-2.5.
Cannon placed fourth in the triple jump with a 37-10.5.
Goette took fifth in the pole vault with an 11-6.
Schieler placed sixth in the 1600-meter with a time of 5:17.
Larson placed sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.95.
