Tigers fall to Lakers at home
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta lost a fourth conference contest to Minnewaska 68-59 Tuesday.
With the loss, the Tigers fall to 5-4 in the West Central Conference South. The Lakers are in second place at 8-1.
The Tigers and Lakers were tied at halftime, but Minnewaska pulled away in the second half.
Eric Riley hit the Tigers' only three-pointer of the game to pull within three with two minutes remaining. The Lakers stopped the Tigers by hitting their free throws as the time ran out. At the free-throw line, the Lakers were shooting 17-of-25 for the game.
Once again, the Tigers had a balanced scoring attack. Cole Riley had 16, Eric Riley had 14, and Mac Kampmeier and Tyler Roske had 11 points apiece. Cole Riley also grabbed nine rebounds, while Roske had seven steals.
