After a busy Saturday at the Hancock volleyball tournament where the Tigers were 2-2, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta suffered a 3-0 loss to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, but came back strong the next night to sweep Minnewaska Area.

The Tigers hosted the No. 8 team in Class A, and were added to the Jaguars' 14-match winning streak Monday in Morris.

Senior Maggie Gruber hammered down 17 kills to help the Jaguars sweep the Tigers 25-20, 25-16, 25-16.

Julie Hieserich directed the Jaguar offense by piling up 39 set assists.

Erin Schieler had 12 kills and three ace blocks. Dani Schultz had 14 digs, while Carrie Roske had 10 for the Tigers.

Minnewaska 0

Schieler unleashed 18 kills and Roske had 25 digs to lift the Tigers past the Lakers in three, 25-22, 25-11, 25-22, Tuesday at Minnewaska.

Haley Scheldorf recorded 17 set assists, while MacKenzie Weatherly had 16.

Kaylee Jacobs led Minnewaska with six kills and Callie Bergsrud added four.
