The Tigers were hosting another top-10 rated team in the state. This time the site was the Hancock gym and the team was the No. 5 rated Falcons. Their team includes seven top-10 rated wrestlers.

"When the dust settled, the Falcons dominated the Tigers and everyone knew why they were rated," said assistant coach Blaine Hill. "However, Tiger fans also knew that their team will go into the team sections with a 7-3 record. This is a major step forward in the development of the Tiger wrestling program."

The Falcons came out tough right away. Mitchell Ascheman lost to Ethan Housman 15-2 at 106.

Travis Ostby then lost by fall to Robert Rasmussen in 2:41 at 113.

Devin Robertson lost by fall to No. 5 rated Tyler Berghuis in 59 seconds at 120.

Evan Nelson got Tiger hopes up with a pin in 2:23 over Jase Peterson at 126, but then the Falcons put the hammer down rattling off nine straight wins.

Dillan Johnson lost by fall in 3:42 to No. 2 rated Hayden Rouser at 132.

Myles Smith lost by fall in 2:49 to No. 5 Logan Peterson at 138.

Seth Nelson lost to No. 1 rated Larry Bomstad by fall in 1:45 at 145.

Tim Ostby found himself in a dog fight at 152 and in the end, No. 3 ranked Matt Meyer won in double-overtime 8-6.

Jordan Thooft lost by fall in 1:16 to Mathew Whitcomb at 160.

Connor Metzger lost 6-2 to Maverick Whitcomb at 170.

Wade Ehlers lost by fall in 1:52 to Colin Kragenbring at 182.

Tyler Moser lost 7-4 to T.J. Hoffman at 195.

Then Joel Harrison lost to No. 2 ranked James Nelson 9-1 at 220.
