Tigers fall to Wildcats in OT

MORRIS — Joey Dreier hit a game-tying three pointer with five seconds left in regulation and New London-Spicer dominated the overtime period in a 69-59 win over Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta on Tuesday.

The Tigers led by four points with 18 seconds to play but failed to convert on free throws.

Conversely, the Wildcats hit 20 of 23 foul shots.

Dreier’s shot tied the game at 57 and the Wildcats outscored the Tigers 12-2 in the overtime.

Dreier finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Aaron Ruter led the Wildcats with 19 points. He also had five assists.

For the Tigers Austin Dierks scored a game-high 24 points and completed the double double with 10 rebounds.

Chandler Erickson had 12 points, six rebounds, and seven assists for the Tigers.

The Tigers wrap up the regular season at Benson at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
